Well, if we’re talking about Once Upon a Time, I love all of the canon pairings. I have yet to see a romantic relationship on the show that disappoints me. There are only two non-canon pairings that I really like at this point: Jefferson/Emma and Huntsman/Red.
I have read fanfiction from a few of the others that I did like, but I wouldn’t really say that I “ship” them based on just one or two stories.
It’s actually the non-romantic ships that are always winners with me. I love seeing little moments with all of the families on the show (yes, even Henry and Regina). Friendships between the various characters are great too.
If you meant for another fandom… Could you specify which one? :)
First, I just want to start by saying that I am extremely sick right now, so I apologize if my answer ends up not making a lot of sense.
I’m not really a die-hard shipper. I do like certain pairings, and I do think “it would be great if so-in-so ended up together with this person” from time to time, but that is about as a far as it goes. I don’t go crazy over my ships, and I don’t generally even read fanfiction about them unless a story/author is recommended to me.
When I talk about characters I prefer to focus on them as individuals rather than just one half of a pairing. To do otherwise seems to imply that these characters weren’t very well developed in the first place, because they are unable to stand out on their own without their “other half”. One of the things I loved about X-Files was that even though the viewers knew that Skully/Mulder did eventually become an item, the show didn’t revolve around this fact. The characters were developed well enough that they would have been just as interesting without the romantic entanglements.
Once Upon a Time (another show that I love) does have a certain focus on romance, but there is also a nice balance between this and other themes that I enjoy. I like the character Rumplestiltskin. I even like the Rumbelle pairing, but I can also understand that Belle isn’t the only source of Rumplestiltskin’s motivations. She isn’t even the most important aspect of his life. Just as I know that there is more to Belle than just being Rumplestiltskin’s lost love. I hope to see more of this type of development, to see exactly who these people are, rather than just focusing on the romance relationships.
I tend to “fangirl” over the premise, foreshadowing, plot twists, character development, etc. from a book/show rather than over a ship. So, you’ll see me talk more about about the overall plot or character development instead of possible romances. That’s not to say I want talk about the romantic aspects of the story from time to time. It’s just that there is so much more to it than that for me, and those other aspects are what you’ll hear about the most.
the silent connection: the Wolf and the Huntsman
If Robert Carlyle is a Princess Bride fan, my head will explode.
Just some speculation on how I think A Land Without Magic is going to end based on the promo and a few other things that have been teased at in other episodes/revealed in spoilers.
Otherwise known as ‘Why Hat Trick is the most criminally underappreciated episode for creative potential in the OUAT fandom and for the options this has offered the show for the future’.WILL CONTAIN REFERENCE TO A SPOILER VIDEO ABOUT 1X22.
^All of this! I am happy to see that there are others who saw the possibilities that “Hat Trick” opened for us. I want to see my world literature favorites incorporated. Literally anything is possible, and that is what I love the most about this show.

I wish Mary Margaret would be like the supportive mother we’ve seen in the past, and less like the lecturing mother everyone was so excited about seeing in the last episode. That has its place, of course, but Emma is also a grown woman, and that time to be the lecturing mother has passed.
Even grown women need a good lecture from their mothers sometimes. I doubt Emma has ever had a lecturing mother before, so in some ways it was long overdue. I would have been disappointed if Mary Margaret had been supporting in that particular situation.
